The Fintech One-on-One podcast was created by Peter Renton, a fintech pioneer who first started blogging about fintech in 2010. In 2013, he co-founded Fintech Nexus, formerly known as LendIt, and was Chairman of that company from 2013 until it closed its doors in 2024.
Also in 2013, Peter started a fintech podcast called the Lend Academy Podcast, focused on the lending side of fintech. In 2021, the name of the podcast was changed to Fintech One-on-One, as the focus had broadened to cover all of fintech. It had become known as the leading podcast for one on one interviews with the leaders of fintech.
Over the past 11 years, Peter has interviewed the CEO or founder of pretty much every fintech company in the U.S. and many from Latin America and Europe as well. Some of these CEOs have been on the show more than once.
Fintech One-on-One is now produced by Peter’s consulting company, Renton & Co, and is nearing two million downloads and 500 episodes.
